Join the exciting Festival Tipi launch in Huddersfield! Experience the thrill of meeting the enigmatic Dragon and Dragon Queen and stand a chance to win fantastic prizes for the best Game of Thrones-inspired costumes. Don't miss out on the special performance by Joel Simmy, a talented rapper, musician, and founder of youth music workshops. Joel has worked with prestigious organizations like Huddersfield Town Foundation and has even been featured on popular radio stations such as BBC Radio 1Xtra, Capital Xtra, and Kiss Fresh FM. This incredible Tipi is brought to you in partnership with Huddersfield Live and proudly sponsored by Huddersfield Town AFC. Be a part of the first-ever HuddLitFest Tipi, which serves as a vibrant entertainment space, an information point for the festival, and a drop-in bar. Throughout the festival, there will be an array of captivating talks, workshops, and activities organized by local community and cultural organizations. While booking is recommended for the opening night, you can drop in at any time during the opening hours. Please note that some activities may require prior booking (visit the "What's On" page for more details). The Tipi will be open daily from Thursday, April 18th to Sunday, April 28th, except for Monday, April 22nd, and Tuesday, April 23rd during specific hours. Don't miss this enriching cultural experience at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield. Tickets are free, but it is advisable to book your spot early. All ages are welcome, and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
