JOIN US WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26TH AT CREED'S COFFEE BAR 6PM - 8:30PM Located at 450 Dupont St, Toronto, ON M5R 3P3 Tinker has partnered up with Maxine Lemieux to create a guided paper cutting workshop! We are super excited to have you join us for a fun night at a new location! Tinker at Bampot isn't going anywhere, but we're excited to expand, connect with more communities and businesses. CREED's has an incredible space with big long tables ideal for crafting and tinkering together! ABOUT THE EVENT Tinker three ways! 1 - (Workshop) A guided custom portrait workshop (40 people max). 2 - (General Admission) Play with pre-cut out materials from the artist and build your own portraits and collages. 3 (also accessed with General Admission) - A tinker classic - show up empty handed and play with whatever you can find or bring your own creative projects to work in company of others. ABOUT THE CUSTOMIZED PORTRAIT WORKSHOP The custom workshop will guide you through a step-by-step lesson on how to create a paper portrait of yourself or anyone you'd like to create in paper form. This could be you, your friend, or your favourite author! After you purchase a workshop ticket, we will send you a form to submit a photo of the portrait you wish to replicate and we will have it printed and available to you upon arrival. Easy peasy! You will be supplied with every material needed to create a paper masterpiece, all you need to do is simply show up! We will have plenty of different coloured papers to choose from but you are of course welcome to bring your own kind of paper to play with as well. ABOUT TINKER Tinker is an art event aiming to deprioritize the finality of 'the show' and 'the deadline' and even 'the client', focusing on multi-disciplinary artistic experimentation, process, and curiosity. This space will be filled with people who are passionate in their fields, curious about yours, and wanting a stronger sense of artistic community in Toronto. The event has been running for over a year now primarily out of Bampot House in Harbord Village. Find more on Instagram @tinkertoronto ABOUT MAXINE LEMIEUX (SHE/THEY) Maxis a queer and métis multidisciplinary graphic artist and photographer based in Toronto, Canada. She holds a degree in filmmaking and a specialization in design. Her art merges illustration and mixed media, drawing inspiration from her inner child and the enchantment of everyday moments.
