This event is part of the Big Fork Comedy Festival 2025, featuring all of your favourite Brisbane Improv Festival shows and workshops. 🟣😆💚🎂🟪🎉🤣🟢🥳🟩💜 The Beat Presented by Laura Buskes of The Improv Conspiracy (Melbourne/Naarm) as part of the Big Fork Comedy Festival 2025. The Beat is all about action moments beyond the dialogue. This workshop will explore how we can combine authentic responses with acting skills, and take your performances to new heights. We'll work with physical offers, stage pictures, tone and sometimes even silence. Workshop Length: 3 hours Recommended experience level: Intermediate (1-3 years experience) Meet Laura Buskes (she/her) Laura is an improviser, actor, writer and general arts  slashie . She has been part of the core ensemble and teaching staff at The Improv Conspiracy since 2014, and works as the Assistant Artistic Director for the theatre. 🟣😆💚🎂🟪🎉🤣🟢🥳🟩💜 About the Big Fork Comedy Festival In 2025, the Brisbane Improv Festival will form part of a wider program of entertainment - the inaugural Big Fork Comedy Festival - a week-long celebration of comedy marking 10 years of Big Fork Theatre.
