Advocacy is powerful - but it’s not one-dimensional. This year, SoundMinds Conference will highlight 
three vital levels of advocacy
 that create lasting change:
Self-Advocacy • Individual Advocacy • Systems Advocacy
With a focus on Black and Hispanic communities, we’ll explore how advocacy at every level empowers healing, promotes equity and drives systemic change. Join us for a day of real conversations, resources and radical care.
What You Can Expect
At this one-day conference, there will be:
Empowering Panels:
 Featuring local and national mental health professionals, advocates and people with lived experience.
Impactful Resources & Tools:
 Providing attendees with access to mental health resources and support services.
Networking Opportunities:
 Facilitating connections among professionals, advocates and community members to foster collaboration and support.

This Conference is for the Village
This conference is for:
The parents holding it all together.
The caregivers doing their best with what they’ve got.
The teachers noticing a shift in a young person’s behavior.
The pastors who want to learn how to serve their congregants better.
The neighbors who check in.
The advocates who keep showing up.
And anyone who believes that healing is a community effort.
You don’t have to be a clinician to make a difference.
 You just have to care - and be willing to learn how to be an advocate for yourself and others.

Why Mental Health Conversations Matter
While mental health affects everyone, the 
disparities in stigma, care and advocacy
 for Black and Hispanic individuals are real. From misdiagnosis to lack of culturally competent care, from systemic barriers to deeply ingrained stigma, these challenges demand not just awareness, but action. And action requires 
allies
.
If we are to dismantle the barriers to care and healing, we need more than just those directly affected to show up. 
We need people willing to listen, learn and stand in the gap.
So, whether you are a mental health professional, a policymaker, a caregiver or someone who simply believes in mental health justice - 
we need you in the room
