You'll gain hands-on experience in operating the machine, understanding crucial functions such as threading and tension, and exploring a range of stitch techniques. By the end of the day, you'll be well on your way to creating your own garments and bringing your fashion visions to life.
What You’ll Learn:
Understanding the anatomy of industrial sewing machines.
Safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of common issues.
Threading, bobbin winding, and mastering stitch tension on a flatbed.
Practising straight lines, curves, and corners for precision sewing.
Practising speed control and precision for professional-quality results.
Introduction to various fabrics and their handling characteristics.
Applying practical techniques to construct a simple sewing project.

Paper scissors
Fabric Scissors
Tailors chalk
Mechanical Pencil (HB 0.5) or pencils 2H
Pen
Ruler
Eraser and pencil sharpener
1.5 metres of woven fabric (ideally cotton or calico) to practice
Course Details:
Duration: 1 day
Times: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: FC Designer Workspace, 9 Durham Road, London, N7 7FB
Skill Level: Beginner-friendly—no prior experience needed.
