Join us for a fun and relaxing drawing workshop with the Japanese artist Iyamari! This isn’t your typical drawing class - it’s a chance to free your mind and explore creativity in a whole new way! Perfect for anyone who thinks they  can’t draw  or feels stuck with rigid ideas, this workshop makes drawing enjoyable and accessible to all. Even a simple word like ‘circle’ can spark endless creative possibilities. With prompts like “Jumping Square” or “Silent Line,” Iyamari helps you visualise words in your own unique way, opening your mind and sparking your imagination in every drawing. Beginners will discover how to draw without hesitation, while experienced participants can enjoy fresh challenges and reconnect with their creativity. After drawing, you’ll share and discuss your work in a welcoming space, exchanging ideas and inspiration with others. Organic Bancha tea from Japan (non-caffeinated) will be served to make the experience even more special. Start the year with a fresh perspective and rediscover your creative side. About the Artist: Iyamari is a Japanese contemporary artist with an active career since 2008. She has hosted solo exhibitions and directed various art projects in Tokyo and London before relocating to Amsterdam in 2019. Her work explores themes of time and perception, inspired by a near-death experience at the age of 20. One of her notable projects, the Telescore Project, is a global collaborative art initiative that creates music from tree prints, symbolising the connection between humans and nature through live performances and video art.
