Inspired by the impactful letter penned by 2024 Artist-in-Residence GOODW.Y.N., a US veteran, titled 'Dear Soldier(s): An Open Letter to the Israeli Armed Forces,' this workshop delves into the art of crafting letters as a form of performance, response, and a means to fuel protest. Nicole Goodwin, also known as GOODW.Y.N., is a distinguished artist, clinching the 2023 LMCC Creative Engagement Grant and recognized as a 2022-23 Franklin Furnace Fund Recipient. Their notable achievements include being a semifinalist for the Headlands 2023 Chamberlain Award, a finalist for the CUE Foundation’s 2022 Public Programs Fellowship, and recipient of the 2018 Ragdale Alice Judson Hayes Fellowship. In 2020, their work 'Ain’t I a Woman (?/!): Poems' earned a spot on The Black Spring Press Group’s The Christopher Smart-Joan Alice Poetry Prize longlist.
