Celebrating the 50th anniversary of this classic film with director, Michael Schultz.

A presentation honoring the film’s director Michael Schultz will take place before the film begins. 
Set in 1964 Chicago, Cooley High is a slice-of-life tale of two high school students coping with the challenges of everyday life. 
Closed Captioning will be provided.  
Entrance
Please enter The Newark Museum of Art through the Main Entrance for all screenings and events during the Newark Black Film Festival. Due to construction, this will be the only entrance used for the Festival.
Seating
All NBFF screenings offer open seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Accessible seating for guests using wheelchairs or with mobility needs is available on the right and left sides of the auditorium in the back. When the auditorium seating fills, additional seating will be available in our overflow space.
Assistive Listening
