We are delighted to welcome Palestinian author 
KARIM KATTAN
 to Voce Books for an evening of conversation about his award-winning novel of imagination & return 
THE PALACE ON THE HIGHER HILL
 tracking the life of a man called Faysal from his European home back to the threatened village of his birth.
The event will be chaired by Birmingham-based journalist & writer, Dan Cave.
KARIM KATTAN
 
is a Palestinian writer from Bethlehem. He holds a PhD in comparative literature & currently lives in France. He has published two novels, along with numerous articles in French & English literary journals.
This event was made possible with the support of the Institut Français in London.
This is one of our 
BORDERLESS
 events where we foreground world literature in translation, & welcome authors from across the world to discuss their work, often alongside their translators.

我們進行了一次專門的旅行並度過了愉快的幾個小時。錯層有很多值得一看的地方，可以讓你保持興趣。企鵝很好，章魚也出現了，我們很想看到更多的水獺。我的孫女很喜歡這一切，隧道裡的烏龜很漂亮。它很乾淨，我們度過了一段愉快的時光，肯定會回去，工作人員很樂於助人，
它真的很不錯，值得一次又一次地參觀。

對於一個較小的城鎮,藝術博物館也很棒。我們真的很喜歡我們的訪問,如果你要去伯明翰,我們會推薦它。一定要提前打電話看看它們是否開放。

有中超，酒樓，還有很多其他特色餐廳選擇。在這裏不難找到想吃的東西。不過今次選了這間酒樓，食物有點令人失望。

維多利亞廣場

放飞自我去游玩

我們去酒店放下行李后，去吃了一頓米其林一星餐館的大餐，然後開始認識這座城市。首先我們來到了維多利亞廣場，一座仿希臘神廟的建築很吸引眼球，這居然是他們的市政廳，它邊上一座漂亮的巴洛克建築是伯明翰博物館和美術館，也可以免費参觀，於是進去小逛了一下，人不多，展品還是挺豐富的，從古埃及的到現在藝術品，都有展出。
