Jack and the Spare Hearts are a Kitchener-based 5-piece band playing original tunes with a sizzling blend of R&B, Funk, Jazz, Pop, and New Wave. As they take the stage you know they're here to enjoy themselves- and feel free to do the same!
With financial support from the Region of Waterloo Arts Fund, the band carved out a roadmap for building a following with a series of shows held at The Jazz Room in Waterloo. Each show included a different musical guest performing original material with backing by the band. High-quality audio and video footage captured during the shows culminated in production of a live album titled "My Medication Live!", featuring band highlights from two of the shows. We are ecstatic to formally launch the album and will perform it in its entirety!
To help us celebrate, we will be joined by musical guests Myrriah Xochitl, who will play some originals backed by the band, and our good friends Vox Confidential! There will be refreshments including a cash bar operated by local craft brewery TWB.
Myrriah Xochitl
 is an independent Toronto based music artist, songwriter and actor, as well as budding director and producer who draws from each artistic impulse in the service of storytelling.  Bridging rock, pop, and folk, Myrriah creates a sound that is large and theatrical yet expresses honesty and vulnerability at its core.
Vox Confidential
 infuses the raw garage rock sounds of the 60s and beyond with modern energy. Female-lead, organ-driven with raucous vocal harmonies and retro themes of space age, spy movies and mod fashion.
The Union
 is a thriving hub for the community and Kitchener's music scene. It is a new, welcoming space to foster collaboration among artists and strengthen the local music community.
