Join the "Intro to Throwing Thursday Eve 6 Weeks Brixton" event at Earthworks Ceramics Studios in London. This 6-week class is perfect for beginners and those with some clay making experience. Taking place from 6 pm to 8.30 pm starting on April 18th, 2024, this session will cover techniques using stoneware clay, including wedging, centering, and throwing on the wheel. With a maximum of 8 participants, you will receive guidance on working the clay to prevent cracks during firings and have the opportunity to explore different glazing options. The class fee of £237.50 includes all materials and firings. Throughout the sessions, the ceramic teacher will demonstrate wedging clay and throwing a cylinder, allowing you to experiment with textures or achieve a smooth finish. Following glazing, your pieces will be available for collection after a few weeks. Remember to arrive on time and pick up your finished pieces from the studio within 3 months. Book your spot now for upcoming dates in June, July, August, September, October, November, and December. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
