Graham Twemlow's upcoming illustrated talk, "Chiltern Landscapes: The Art of John & Paul Nash," will pay tribute to the renowned Nash brothers and their notable association with the picturesque Chiltern Hills. This talk will delve into their deep-rooted connection to rural Buckinghamshire, where their childhood years greatly influenced their artistic endeavors throughout their lives. From their time as War Artists in Chalfont St Peter to the 1920s and 1930s, during which they drew inspiration from the chalk hills of the Chilterns, their most notable creations emerged. The talk will be richly illustrated, featuring a special emphasis on their significant contributions to the applied arts, including woodcuts, textiles, illustrations, and poster designs. 
Graham Twemlow, a retired University Lecturer based in Northend, possesses a wealth of knowledge in design history and decorative arts. Holding an MA in Fine Arts Valuation and a PhD from Reading University, he has dedicated his research to E McKnight Kauffer, an American-born poster artist. Graham's expertise spans various aspects of the applied arts, with a particular passion for illustrated posters from the mid-19th Century to the mid-20th Century. Highly regarded as a speaker, he has delivered talks at prestigious venues such as the Royal Society of Arts, the Grolier Club, Christie's South Kensington, the River & Rowing Museum, and the Ashmolean Museum, among others. Additionally, Graham has contributed to the esteemed Phaidon Archive of Graphic Design as a specialist consultant, editor, and author. Recently, he has started sharing his research interests on his Weblog.
