BMC x ClimbOut Queer Climbing Session This is a queer climbing session brought to you by the British Mountaineering Council and the amazing volunteers of ClimbOut Queer Climbing Festival. This event is an inclusive and social event as part of the Kendal Mountain Festival. ** Please note this is a social climbing session with no instruction. Some of the ClimbOut team that will be present are fully qualified instructors and will be around to offer some support and tips, if you are new to climbing you will be required by the wall to watch their induction video. ** About ClimbOut:ClimbOut became the UK’s first Queer Outdoor Climbing festival in 2023 and successfully ran again in 2024. Combining trad climbing, sport climbing, and bouldering with queer joy outdoors, the ClimbOut community aims to celebrate LGBTQ+ climbers and create a community centred on the intersection between queer joy and climbing. Who can come This event is open to everyone! If under 18, they must be accompanied by their parent/legal guardian at all times for insurance and safeguarding purposes.
