 The Commonwealth of Virginia is proud to recognize the contributions of these trailblazing individuals who served with distinction and inspired change within the fire service statewide.

Keynote Speaker:  Interim Chief Jeffrey Segal
Historical Marker Dedication:
 Memorial Wreath Laying Ceremony at Duvall & Jackson Street, the original location of Engine Company #9.
Documentary Viewing:
 Historical and educational information captured on film, telling the story of Engine Company #9 and the first African American firefighters hired.
Recognition of Individuals:
 Honoring those who are continuing the legacy of the trailblazers.
Invitation:
 All community members are welcome to join in celebrating this milestone and recognizing individuals who have positively impacted society.
