Victoria Day Royal Race, 5km and 2km May 19, 2025 Run a beautiful fast, flat and scenic course along the lakeshore in High Park, exploring the park's picturesque scenes along the way. This is the perfect course and time of year to plan to run a personal best and/or bring the whole family for a day of active fun! The race route starts at Spring Rd & Colborne Lodge Dr , turns left onto West rd and explores some of the trails to the south of High Park. It does a loop through the beautiful Greenhouse before heading back to Spring Rd. 5km start: 10:00 AM 2km start: 10:30 AM Awards & Prizes Ceremony: 11:00 AM Aid Station will be serving water and snacks at the start/finsih line. Portable toilets will be also be available. For safety reasons, no dogs or strollers are allowed to take part in the races. Balsam Range calls Canton, NC home and are a fan favorite not only in Western North Carolina but across the globe. The all-women trio used to play regularly with the Avett Brothers, had an original song (Tomatoes) in a Hunt's tomato commercial, and were well on their way to becoming more than just regionally known when the band decided to take a break in 2012. Now they’re back with a freshened up lineup, but with that sweet soulful sound their fans know and love. Food & Beverage will be provided byt our Chef, Sid Truesdale.
