Hotel situato direttamente sul mare di Ortona, dotato di ampio parcheggio, una piscina pulita grande con solarium e spiaggia privata molto ben curata. L'albergo offre davvero ogni confort, è possibile godersi il relax lontano dall'inquinamento acustico, si può dormire o riposare nel totale silenzio. Tutto il personale davvero gentile, in particolare il ricevimento. Ottimo il servizio ristorazione sia in sala, in piscina o nella piazza dell'albergo dedicato alla ristorazione e bar. Una zona è anche dedicata al pokè e ai panini di buona gastronomia. Per noi ormai è quasi meta fissa per quando abbiamo bisogno di staccare la spina. Prezzi in linea con l'offerta.

We booked this hotel for 9 nights, from August 18, 2023 to August 27, 2023. In the first night an extremely noisy event (which we understood from the Reception when we complained is a DAILY event between 20:00-24:00) from the nearby hotel. No one from the hotel warned us about this. Also, this was not mentioned in the description of the hotel on the website. When we talked about this at the reception, they did not offer any solution. They knew about this problem. They said that they will try to give us another room in a few days, but an worse room that the one we paid for. We checked out the next day. The other negative aspects which are misleading in the description are: Wifi is very poor, room is too small for queen size bed (the balcony door hit the bed, bedside table furniture missing on the balcony side of the bed, balcony without privacy separators, fish smell on staircase at the day of our arrival very scarce breakfast (the day at our checkout and departure). During the breakfast, waiting in line for somebody to slice cheese and ham, waiting in line for somebody to prepare eggs. (Nobody there for the 20 minutes we took breakfast). It seems that Sea Lion Hotel retained the Covid 19 restrictions which benefit their side and limit tourists services, fitness and Spa are out of work, but they marketed it as they offer these sevices. This hotel is a 3 hotel at best, not as it is listed, as a 4 hotel with a rate of 190 euro/night!!! Of course, they don't want to reimburse the money. Fantastic setting right in the middle of the city center and the main shopping street, though easy to reach by car. Friendly staff and easy check-in and check-out. Nice quite rooms and excellent breakfast even in these Covid times. Private enclosed and convenient parking at 50m of the hotel for guests.

I was worried when I read the reviews regarding this hotel, However I think some people expect too much. Yes the Hotel does need some much needed maintenance but I believe in light of the recent pandemic it has like most of the world become a victim of circumstance. That being said and looking beyond the surface - this hotel has very welcoming polite staff, it was super clean and the room was spacious and the bed was comfy. it is ideally situated on the front with excellent access to bars, restaurants and shops. I would definately stay here again if I ever returned to Pescara. Thank you for our stay.

Just came back from Italy, stayed at Ambra’s hotel for 11 days and loved the location and appreciated the attempt of the staff to make your stay pleasurable.. i’ll be back for sure ,definitely is my favorite hotel when traveling to my beloved Pescara.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo Hotel nel mese di luglio; location impeccabile, molto bella, curata, pulita e confortevole. La camera vista mare molto bella e con panorama mozzafiato. Prima colazione abbondante, ricca di ogni prelibatezza. ristorante alla carta di alta qualità e servizio impeccabile. la spiaggia (piccola e di ciottoli) molto comoda e di puro relax cullati dalle onde del mare. Tutto lo Staff professionale, un ringraziamento speciale al Direttore sempre gentile e disponibile; al personale della reception (Martina, Irene, Emilia, Chiara, Lorenza, Simone) accogliente, premuroso e sempre sorridente, al personale di sala, competente e in grado di cogliere ogni desiderio; al Barman, al personale di pulizia, nonché al bagnino.la Costa dei Trabocchi è molto bella e alloggiare in questo hotel ha reso la nostra vacanza indimenticabile. Paid a small mortgage for a sea view room that was a disgrace. It was nothing like the images or descriptions on glossy booking sites. For example, the outdated wallpaper went up 40 years ago, smelled, and was peeling off. The room was tiny. minuscule. The large bed that was advertised is a bulk standard double bed. The door frame to the bathroom was hanging off. The mirror in the bathroom had a chunk missing at the top that was ragged and dangerous. The towels smelled damp. The bathroom is so small you don't really know where to hang a towel and hit your head on a shelf when cleaning your teeth. You can also hear next door using the loo and shower - it's pretty noisy and can wake you up. Worse - none of the booking sites tell you about the terrible noise - some evenings - into the small hours due to nightclubs 2/3 times a week directly opposite the hotel. The shouting/signing kept us awake and made us very tired on our supposedly relaxing break. Moreover, the sick in the streets and remnants e.g. broken glass and bottles from the party are everywhere. During the day/night - there are no tea/coffee facilities available in room so you have to pay for coffee or go out. You have just one socket to charge the multiple appliances we all travel with. The area itself when there were no beach parties was like a ghost town - seems like the dead and forgotten graveyard of the Adriatic , no one in any restaurants or bars so the standard is really hit and miss when you go out!! Take care where you eat. Sadly our problems included eating at the hotel, in particular the breakfast we had paid for. What a culinary nightmare!! When we went to the dining room anticipating a four star hot and cold option with self service, the hot consisted of scrambled egg each day and chopped frankfurters - but the eggs were always severely burned with black bits and looked grey. The frankfurters were greasy chopped and then fried to make them go further. We complained at reception - who asked ”what would you like?” we said ”eggs cooked properly please - maybe some bacon”. But sadly, the following day, the eggs were still burned. Worse - from that day forth the left over dinner from the night before was put out to achieve ”more options/choice” - dry old pork and potato. Grey again. Defo not four star!!! We tried to get on with the pastries at breakfast - but these were undercooked in the middle, and cheap and nasty, like everything to do with the Hotel Maja. We gave up eating at the hotel when we photographed guests taking dogs into the restaurant where food is served in a buffet style that we could not touch?? The only positive is that the beach is nice, but the fumes from the road below your rooms are toxic so you cannot sit on your balcony and enjoy the view. The hotel advertises that there is a charge for beach beds, they do not tell you that they are charged from 25 Euros a day upwards so can add significantly to the price of your stay. 25 Euro's is the st

We stayed a week here. Accessibility wise, it is only a short walk to the beach and restaurants BUT it is down and then up a very steep hill. Unless you like fish, most of the nearby restaurants will not suit you. Would recommend having a car due to these facts. There is a courtesy mini bus service to a beach which was at a cost of €25 euros per day inc umbrella, chairs etc. We ate dinner in the restaurant twice. The food was very good but is a limited menu. Portion size on the small size. We ate breakfast most mornings which at €5 is good value for money . Varied buffet breakfast with lovely local bread and cakes, fruit yoghurt etc, cold meat and cheeses and scrambled eggs. We booked 6 months in advance and were disappointed with the room allocated to us. We had booked a superior room and queried on the first night if that was what we were in. We were assured we were……but….. on further conversation the next day with very helpful check in desk staff, it became clear we were in one half of a family room. There was not much difference in amenity except the superior room was approx 8-10 m2 bigger…..so a huge difference. We were subsequently moved on night 3 of 7 so this aspect was disappointing and the photos on the website of various rooms are very misleading. We felt slightly cheated over this. There is also an issue with noise from other rooms which is audible for sure but did not cause us any significant issue. In terms of the rooms and public areas, the gardens and pool areas are very pleasant to spend time in. The restaurants for breakfast and dinner are ok too. The rooms and corridors are tired and do need refreshing in our view, especially the bathrooms which are showing signs of age with black mould in a lot of the grouting. Lastly, the staff throughout the hotel were outstanding in every respect. The service was exceptional…… friendly, informative, professional and efficient. 10/10. Had this not been the case we would have reviewed it at 3/5.
