Nice monument, but not much to see

Wasn’t particularly impressed with the monument. But it’s close to the river and also the Le Ba Dang Art Gallery, so you can slice up the visit!

怒りの顔

　ファン・ボイ・チャウはフランスから独立を目指した革命家です。日本にも縁があり日本に留学を組織した「東遊運動」の立役者。フランスに長く囚われていたため彼の怒りの顔をしたモニュメントです。郊外に記念館もあるそうですが休館とのことで、こちらで彼の生涯・功績を聞きました。

怖そうな頭像

ベトナムの独立運動家ファン・ボイ・チャウの頭像です。２ｋｍくらい離れた場所に記念館があります。幽閉されていた期間が長かったからでしょうか、少し怖そうな顔をしています。
