小規模ながら良い状態の石垣が残る城跡
保存状態の良い石垣を鑑賞する事が出来る城跡。小規模であるが水ノ手門や大手門跡など見る価値があると思う。　また、広々した二の丸跡からは人吉の街並みを眺める事が出来る。一部修理を行っている場所もあったが、整備を進め多くの人にこの素晴らしい城跡を鑑賞して欲しい物である。
