　Spots overlooking Oki Island are scattered around the national park and Oyama. This pass is one of them. It is in the middle of the "Kawadodo Road", one of the so-called Oyama roads, the worship road to Oyama. This road runs east from Daisan Ji Temple and runs toward the direction of akatsuki (present-day kotoura CHO), and the pass here is said to be a place to breathe when climbing from the foot.
